Below is my response to Ahyun Jeong’s blog Post #3:
Hi, Ahyun! I enjoyed reading your third blog post for this course. I related to a lot of what you discussed. Specifically, I also use platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter to connect with others and build my PLN, and I liked that you highlighted how these kinds of platforms can facilitate real-time collaboration. This is a major benefit of using social media in PLNs because there are so few other environments in which you can so connect easily and promptly with experts and professionals.
Additionally, I agree that limiting personal information online is a crucial aspect of maintaining privacy and security. This can be somewhat challenging, as many platforms are built on users’ personal data (e.g., apps like BeReal encourage users to post a photo of them every day with their location visible to anyone), so being mindful of this is a good skill to have.
Overall, this blog post provided some insightful information about PLNs and online security and accessibility. Also, I love that the image you included of the UDL principles blends with the page because of its white background – it looks so cool! Thanks for sharing.
